In terms of recognitions and proclamations, the council declared May 15, 2024, as Harvey Lovington Day, in honor of the junior from Brick Memorial High School who won the 2024 NJSIAA 190b state wrestling championship. The importance of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was recognized, with the proclamation of May 19th through May 25th, 2024, as EMS week in the township of Brick. Furthermore, May was proclaimed as Older Americans month, celebrating the contributions of the township’s senior citizens.

The meeting proceeded with the approval of various resolutions, including the acceptance of the 2023 audit, the insertion of grants for dialysis transportation, efforts to combat distracted driving, participation in the Green Acres Program, and the procurement of police vehicles. Shared service agreements and participation in a National Cooperative buying group were authorized. Amendments to contracts for dental insurance and stop-loss insurance were approved, along with the release of inspection funds and performance bonds, and a tax overpayment for the year 2024.

The successful organization of the senior prom by the Recreation Department was acknowledged, as was the dedication of a monument to honor fallen police officers. New businesses offering buy-in-Brick rebates were introduced, and the council commended the Girls Softball Recreation teams and Little Leagues.
