The estimated cost for this project is $170,000. The board was informed that the flooring’s condition had worsened despite patching attempts, resulting in issues like bubbling and cracking.

The Chelmsford Center for the Arts director, Lauren Cochran, outlined a renovation project focusing on the auditorium floor, possibly dating back to the 1930s. The proposal includes buffing and potentially replacing the floor, estimated at $20,000, along with cosmetic updates such as painting and chandelier adjustments. The total request is up to $50,000.
