Another topic of interest was the ADA walkway on the town common, which did not receive sufficient votes for funding. The board discussed potential liability issues due to non-compliance, but concluded that as long as a plan is in place for future upgrades, the town would be somewhat protected. The board plans to proceed with the design work in-house to prepare for potential future funding opportunities.

The meeting also touched on the funding strategy for sidewalk improvements. Although these were not prioritized in the current plan, the board intends to pursue supplemental funding from available free cash at the fall town meeting, following a similar approach used in previous years.
