Adrien McDonald, an ESL teacher at the Walter Cy Black School, was nominated by her colleague, Kim Armenti, for the Magic 98.3 “Teachers Who Make a Difference” recognition. McDonald was praised for her inclusive and supportive teaching style, which ensures that all students feel valued, regardless of their background or learning ability.
The meeting also highlighted the success of the East Windsor Regional School District’s middle school girls’ basketball team, who triumphed in the championship game against Lawrence Middle School. The game, held at Westwinds of Plainsboro North High School, was well-attended. Coaches Marcus and Lag were congratulated for leading the team to a victorious season.
In addition to team sports, individual student athletes were recognized for their achievements. Gabby Sown Jules, a wrestler, was celebrated for her impressive 9-2 record and for becoming the first two-time CVC girls champion in the district’s history.
