The recent meeting of the Edison School Board featured a strong focus on student achievements, the recognition of outgoing board member Joe Romano, and the approval of significant infrastructure projects aimed at improving district facilities. The board celebrated the accomplishments of exceptional students while laying the groundwork for future school enhancements through various agenda items.
A highlight of the meeting was the acknowledgment of 34 students from JP Stevens High School Choir for their selection to the prestigious 2026 CGMEA Central Jersey Regions Choir. This recognition underscores the strong performance and dedication of the students and their instructors. In addition to this, students Kaylin Seed Lopez, Fehow Lee, Ryan Lee, Emanuel Kasus, and Selena Luong were commended for their outstanding achievements in academics and extracurricular activities during the Rotary Senior of the Month breakfast. These recognitions not only celebrated individual accomplishments but also highlighted the vibrant community spirit fostered within the Edison School District.
Outgoing board member Joe Romano was honored for his three years of service. The president expressed gratitude for Mr. Romano’s contributions, presenting him with a plaque as a token of appreciation. Mr. Romano reflected on his tenure, emphasizing the collective effort required to support educational success in the district. He acknowledged the dedication of teachers and administrators in fostering early childhood education.
