Overview: In a recent meeting, the Elizabeth School Board was presented with a proposal by actor Jamelle Howard to partner with Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, to implement financial literacy and career and technical education (CTE) programs. The initiative, which has already been launched in one hundred New York schools, aims to equip students with certifications in trades that are resistant to automation, using innovative virtual reality experiences for immersive learning. The board expressed interest in exploring this partnership further.
