Gupta also highlighted changes at Churchill School, noting that a recently hired counselor at Stevenson would assist the existing counselor, Miss Kirk, at Churchill. This move comes after observing the need for additional support following the relocation of third grade to Churchill without added services. Further strengthening district support, Director of Special Services Megan Cafone will take on more responsibilities, including overseeing counselors, reading specialists, and math coaches. This change seeks to enhance alignment and continuity across regular and special education services.

In other announcements, the Home and School Association (HSA) will hold its first meeting of the year on September 17th and a walk-a-thon on October 5th. These events aim to engage and involve the community in upcoming school activities.
