During the meeting, the Board granted approval for a farmers market to be held at Kennedy Park every Saturday from July 11th through November 28th. The market will operate from 7:00 a.m. to noon, and there were no objections or questions regarding the proposal, which was promptly approved.

Another topic was the approval of a wedding ceremony at Kennedy Park Pavilion on July 11th. The ceremony will include pre-cooked food and a port-a-john for restroom use. The Board stressed that the wedding could proceed only under the condition that no liquor is served, as serving alcohol would require a separate license. The Board will follow up with the applicant to ensure compliance with this stipulation.

The meeting also revisited previous approvals, such as the partnership between the City of Fall River and the Fall River Pickle League. The league requested permission to include business vendors selling pickleball-related merchandise, in addition to already approved food trucks. The Board granted this request with the stipulation that vendors set up outside the park to avoid congestion.

Additional approvals included the removal of trees deemed hazardous on Moore Street and Montgomery Street. The condition of these trees was confirmed by both the tree department supervisor and the director of parks. Discussions included potentially replacing the trees, provided the homeowners are willing to maintain them.
