Further into the meeting, several resolutions were addressed, including the authorization of the payroll, the nomination of new Library trustees, and the approval of a raffle submitted by the Glen Ridge High School HSA. The council also discussed a tabled resolution concerning a settlement agreement related to rehab grants on Baldwin Street, which Borough Attorney John Malyska explained was complicated by the involvement of multiple parties and divergent views, making a resolution difficult to achieve.
In addition, Borough Administrator Michael P. Zichelli paid tribute to the late H. Mark Blesi, a former police officer, fire chief, OEM coordinator, and code enforcement officer, acknowledging his contributions to the community. Council members echoed the sentiments of loss and extended condolences to Blesi’s family.
