The council addressed the surplus property issue by proposing that these properties, especially 77 Petty Plane Road, be reviewed by both the Community Relations Committee and the Economic Development Committee (EDC). In financial matters, the council reviewed several budget items, including a proposed allocation of $85,000 for a high-speed vehicle charger at the police station. This item, along with other financial orders related to stabilization funds, was slated for further discussion in December, allowing for more thorough consideration in line with budget reviews and the setting of the tax rate. The council acknowledged the need for information from the state before finalizing the tax rate.
