Dr. Fisicaro emphasized the educational value of the exhibit, which will be open to students during school hours and to teachers and community members in the afternoon. This initiative is part of the district’s Week of Respect activities, promoting understanding and empathy among students.

In addition to the exhibit, the meeting noted an increase in student enrollment. The district now hosts 2,134 students. The kindergarten class alone welcomed 174 new students, indicating a growing community with many families moving into the area, adding to the vibrancy of Haddon Township.

Dr. Fisicaro also commended the improvements at Vance Skyver School, specifically the upgraded transportation drop-off and pick-up zones, which have enhanced safety and efficiency. Despite challenges from ongoing construction at the middle and high school complex, the district successfully opened on schedule, aided by a temporary certificate of occupancy granted just a day before schools started.

The board discussed the early start of middle school music programs, which are beginning ahead of previous years. They are also anticipating presentations on special education programs and improvements in student achievement and discipline at the middle school.
