Gregory Early, a freshman at Hoboken High School, was recognized for his enthusiasm and academic excellence, a rare honor for a freshman.

The board meeting also focused on the Accountability Continuum and New Jersey Quality Assurance Continuum (NJQAC) process. A report detailed the district’s performance review procedures, emphasizing a self-evaluation followed by state-level verification. The district maintained its high-performing status during the previous NJQAC cycle by scoring over 80% in all categories. The current NJQAC process is expected to conclude by spring, with ongoing efforts to address any identified areas of improvement.

Athletic achievements were another focal point, with several teams earning accolades. The girls’ varsity tennis team and the girls’ soccer team both claimed county championships, the latter making history with its first win. The girls’ junior varsity volleyball team also achieved county champion status, and the boys’ soccer team became division champions.
