The church seeks to build a recreational facility that will include a gymnasium, meeting spaces, and classrooms to support its parishioners. The project, located on State Highway 34, requires a D1 use variance as the recreational facility is not permitted in the current zone. The council decided to carry the matter to the next appropriate date, set for May 20th, without further notice.

The council also addressed an annual zoning report, which included revisions related to generators and zoning classifications for churches and nursing homes. After reviewing the proposed changes, the council moved to accept the report, with discussions noting satisfaction with the removal of churches from certain zones and adjustments regarding nursing homes.
