During the superintendent’s report, it was revealed that the school district continues to manage challenges with student interpersonal skills post-pandemic, as evidenced by the report of five confirmed instances of harassment, intimidation, or bullying (HIB) out of twelve reports. Efforts to address these issues include support from counselors and resources outside the school system to assist students and families.

The board also recognized student achievements with the announcement of scholar athletes of the month and congratulated high school senior award scholarship recipients as well as middle and high school students who made the honor rolls. Additionally, the Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO) were thanked for their contributions, including an ice cream event for students and teachers and a donation towards the eighth-grade Beach Ball Bash.

Notably, the board highlighted the generous contributions for scholarships and the scoreboard, emphasizing their importance in enhancing school facilities and student opportunities.

The meeting proceeded with the approval of various agenda items, including the student safety data system, personnel appointments for the upcoming year, and professional development travel. The board also moved items related to student services, resolutions, and the CES County Regional Cooperative.
