The meeting commenced with Pastor Mark Nigro delivering an invocation, where he prayed for the leadership of the town, as well as the safety and unity of the police and fire departments and community members at large. Following this, Chief John Staro introduced the new and promoted police officers, providing background information on their careers and contributions to the force. A group swearing-in ceremony was then conducted for these officers.

Their collective experience and service were celebrated as exemplars of the department’s values. Moreover, Captain Paul Mazio received praise for his multifaceted expertise in firefighting, hazardous material response, and rescue operations, as well as for his leadership training and management certifications.
The ceremony then transitioned to the swearing-in of newly promoted supervisors, an event attended by family members and marked by a sense of community pride.
