It aims to leverage high-net-worth individuals to attract corporate headquarters and satellite offices, thereby enhancing local economic growth.

The strategic plan includes catalyst projects anticipated to influence the regional economy over the next decade by creating jobs and generating tax revenue. The council discussed metrics for measuring the plan’s success, such as job creation, tax revenue, and capital investments, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining agriculture’s historical significance in the community.

Legal concerns were raised by Deputy County Attorney Susan Pto regarding certain incentives in the plan, stressing the need for compliance with relevant statutes. The council acknowledged the importance of aligning housing availability with job growth and suggested incorporating workforce housing considerations into the plan, despite its typical exclusion from economic development strategies.
