It was confirmed that Lake Como is not required to create affordable housing units but must ensure that any new developments with five units or more include 20% affordable housing. This approach stems from negotiations that successfully reduced the borough’s initial affordable housing unit requirement to zero, thus avoiding potential issues faced by nearby towns.
