This adjustment was justified by the shift from small local camps to larger, for-profit camps, which require more extensive permitting processes.

Another point of interest was the approval of a change in ownership for an existing food establishment, Fat Cousins, located on County Street. The board approved the transfer of the food establishment and milk and cream licenses to the new owners, St. Joseph and St. Rita Corp, with no operational changes expected.

Additionally, the board approved a new mobile food permit for Adobo Republic LLC, a food truck planning to operate at Elliot Farms and other locations, pending inspection. The board emphasized that all necessary paperwork was completed, and inspections would occur before the start of their operations.

The board also approved a Betterment Loan for a resident on Laurel Street in the amount of $39,165.20. The loan will fund the replacement of a failed septic system, with board members noting that such loans do not cost the town any money and encouraging other residents with similar issues to apply for assistance.
