The council then turned its attention to the Pan-O-Prog festival, as a representative detailed the festival’s schedule and new attractions. This year marks the 58th year of the festival, which will feature over 60 events from July 4th through July 13th. New activities include disc golf and Touch a Truck, while traditional events such as Beer Bratz and Bingo and a large parade remain. Notably, the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher band, led by Lakeville South graduate Charlotte Baker, will participate in the parade.

In the consent agenda, the council accepted a significant donation from the Lakeville Public Safety Foundation of a utility vehicle valued at over $38,000 for the police department. Discussions also included amendments to several ordinances; notably, changes to dog control laws now require leashes without the option of voice command. The council also amended the social host ordinance to address cannabis, following its state-level legalization.

Finally, the council addressed a public hearing regarding the vacation of a roadway drainage and utility easement at Amelia Meadows. This procedural step was necessary due to an oversight in the final plat approval. The council completed the necessary formalities to resolve this issue.
