Little Falls Planning Board Reorganizes Leadership Amid Mayor’s Absence
- Meeting Overview:
The Little Falls Planning Board held its annual reorganization meeting, electing Walter Kilpatrick as chairman and Kevin Barry as vice chairman for 2025. Mayor James Damiano was absent due to illness but extended his gratitude to the board members who were sworn in.
The reorganization meeting was the focal point of the evening, as the board elected its leadership for the coming year. Walter Kilpatrick was nominated unopposed and elected as chairman, while Kevin Barry was similarly elected as vice chairman. This leadership team will guide the board’s activities in addressing the township’s planning needs. Following the leadership elections, the board proceeded to appoint Richard B. Grigley Aduro as the planning board attorney and Michael Kobar as the board engineer. Additionally, Scott Carlson was appointed as the conflict attorney.
The board also designated the North Jersey Herald and News, the Bergen Record, and the Little Falls website for all legal notices and advertisements for 2025.
In a minor scheduling adjustment, the board decided to move the October meeting to the second Thursday due to a conflict with Yom Kippur. This change illustrates the board’s awareness and accommodation of community observances.
During the meeting, two resolutions were memorialized. The first concerned a property on Fenn Place, while the second involved 5 Chilton Drive. These resolutions represent the board’s ongoing work in addressing local development matters.
