In positive news, the district has reduced chronic absenteeism to 9.8%, a substantial improvement from previous years’ rates of around 23%. This reduction reflects the concerted efforts of administrators, teachers, and parents in addressing absenteeism.

The board also reviewed financial updates, with reports indicating a year-end surplus. The food service program reported a profit, bolstered by an increase in meals served compared to the previous year. However, the kitchen project is postponed due to expanded plans beyond initial expectations.
