During the recent Littleton Board of Selectmen meeting, the primary highlight was the announcement of the 22nd Appleman Triathlon, organized by the Littleton Rotary Club. Scheduled for Sunday, July 19th, the event at Long Lake aims to attract around 450 participants and serves as the club’s largest fundraiser, supporting local charities. Roger Hartley, chairperson for the triathlon, emphasized the significance of the event, which includes a run, bike, and swim competition. The triathlon is sanctioned by the United States Triathlon Association, with New England Timing providing precise timing services. Unique features include participation medals and bottles of maple syrup as prizes for winners. Basnett Plumbing and Heating, a local business, was recognized as the premier sponsor, contributing to the event’s success.
