During the meeting, it was reported that the election saw 2,942 residents registered by the start of Election Day, with an additional 250 registering on the day itself. The election featured mayoral and city council races, with incumbent Mayor Tom Berg receiving 988 votes. In the city council race, James Olson received 1,280 votes, followed by Krie Miller with 1,132 votes. Cindy Furrer, a current city council member, garnered 720 votes, while other candidates included Mike Hardin with 638 votes and Wesley Mosel with 213 votes. The resolution to not count absentee ballots for write-in candidates unless they declared their candidacy seven days prior to the election was also discussed.

In other business, the Public Works department announced preparations for winter, including readiness of snow equipment and arrangements with snow haulers. They reported positive feedback on the new meter reader, which reduced the time required for meter reading.

The council also addressed various board vacancies, with open positions on the Planning Commission, Economic Development Authority, Library Board, and Park Board. These openings will be advertised across multiple platforms to attract applicants.
