Rubben also brought up accessibility concerns at Huntington Beach, a designated handicap beach, asking for the installation of blue tarps to aid mobility over dunes. City officials noted safety concerns with past usage of such mats, citing slipperiness when wet, but mentioned they are open to exploring safer options. They also highlighted the availability of a driving service to assist handicapped individuals, though Rubben pointed out the service’s limitations during peak times.

Additionally, another resident, Dennis Corosi, highlighted the lack of communication regarding street closures for construction work and questioned the enforcement of fencing requirements at construction sites.
