In a move, Danielle Parenti was elected as the board president through a written ballot process. Her election was supported by a majority of the board members present. Sharon Schueler secured the position of vice president, also by majority vote. The leadership elections were marked by nominations and subsequent declines, with Schueler initially declining a nomination for president, expressing a preference for the vice presidency instead.

Each board member committed to upholding laws, making decisions for educational welfare, and maintaining transparency and confidentiality in school matters.

Additionally, the board approved the annual meeting schedule for the 2026 calendar year. Meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Middlesex High School media center. The schedule aims to facilitate consistent and accessible engagement with the public. A special meeting is set for February 23rd for ethics training.
