A community member questioned the transparency and necessity of the transfer of a principal, noting the lack of prior board action to approve such a role. Student representative Kevin brought attention to a proposed phone ban in schools, arguing against the necessity of such a policy. He emphasized that phones serve as valuable learning tools and that teachers should retain the discretion to manage phone use in the classroom. Kevin stressed the importance of access to technology, including artificial intelligence, and urged the board to reconsider the implications of a blanket ban on phones.
