Shared toilet rooms between classrooms were part of the design, but there was a preference for separate facilities to accommodate students with specific needs. The design also involved smaller art and music areas and distributed dining facilities across multiple floors to minimize stair navigation for younger students.

The meeting included a review of the MSBA’s flexibility regarding classroom numbers, as long as they adhered to reasonable industry standards. Concerns were raised about the omission of support spaces, such as speech pathology and occupational therapy rooms, from MSBA’s standard space summary, necessitating additional rooms to meet district needs.
