The juice bar will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with seating available for 48 patrons. One representative confirmed their role in managing the juice bar operations, ensuring the facility complements the gym’s offerings, which include cycling, boxing, and weightlifting classes. The application faced no opposition, and the commission approved the license without further discussion.

The commission also reviewed routine license renewals, as the end of the year approached. Notably, Lupita’s Restaurant and Es Taqueria faced compliance issues. Lupita’s Restaurant must submit liquor liability insurance and a certificate of inspection by January 6th to avoid license nullification. Similarly, Es Taqueria is required to resolve fire department compliance issues by the same deadline. If these issues remain unaddressed, their licenses will be provisional and subject to expiration.

Additionally, the commission shared updates from the Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission. These included changes to laws broadening the business types eligible for farmers market permits and allowing qualified aliens to become alcohol license managers and apply for retail licenses as sole proprietors or partnerships.
