Saltbrook School completed its electrical upgrade, and the HVAC system is on track to be operational by the first day of school. The New Providence High School and Middle School complex is in the final stages of HVAC installation, with systems expected to be fully operational by mid-September. The auditorium will remain closed for the initial weeks of September, with work being expedited through double shifts to ensure safety and timely completion.

In addition to infrastructure updates, the board discussed the professional development agenda for educators as they return for the new school year. Teachers will engage in mandatory training sessions, covering new math and English Language Arts standards, and participate in workshops aligned with district goals, including strategies for multilingual learners and the effective use of AI in classrooms. A strategic planning workshop will also be held, allowing staff to discuss and illustrate district goals.

The board also moved to approve several education action items, including 14 new curricula and professional development programs for the year.
