A supportive letter will be sent to relevant authorities to emphasize the commission’s backing of efforts by Representative John Rogers and others to expedite the hospital’s reconstruction. The commissioners expressed strong support, recognizing the hospital’s critical role in serving the health needs of the Norwood area and reducing the burden on nearby towns’ emergency services.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the renewal of the county’s auditing services contract. The commission approved a three-year contract with CBIZ, the current vendor, despite a price increase from $50,000 to $65,000 for fiscal year 2025.

The commission was also informed about ongoing seasonal hiring at the Wall Recreational Facility and the progress of the facility manager posting, which has attracted significant interest. The next commission meeting is scheduled to take place in a new venue, the disaster recovery room at the Norfolk County Agricultural School.
