In a North Arlington Board of Education meeting on April 25, 2023, the board finalized the employment of multiple teachers and other staff, including new faces such as Emily Galow, Library Media Specialist, and Melissa Cutrali, Principal of Washington Elementary School. The board also confirmed coaching appointments for the fall 2023 sports season, with Xavier Almanzar as Volunteer Football Coach, Carlie Gallagher as Head Cheerleading Coach, and Vincent Sommese as Head Cross Country Coach among the appointees.
On the regulatory front, the board approved revisions to various policies and affirmed the Superintendent’s decision on several harassment, intimidation, and bullying investigations. Celebratory resolutions were passed designating themed weeks in May 2023, including “Teacher Appreciation Week” and “National Nurses Week”.
