Other discussions included a proposed marketing agreement with a private company to offer home protection products to residents and an agreement with Miami-Dade County regarding emergency water interconnection and billing of sanitary sewer service charges. These items were approved, with the council highlighting the benefits and financial implications for the city and its residents.

As the meeting concluded, the council addressed ordinances amending local business tax receipts and regulations, zoning and land development regulations, and the retirement plan for police officers and firefighters.
