The North Port City Council also recognized Arbor Day and the contributions of grant professionals. The council proclaimed April 25, 2025, as National Arbor Day, celebrating the environmental benefits of trees and encouraging community participation in tree planting initiatives. Furthermore, the council acknowledged the work of grant professionals who secure essential funding for community projects, designating March 14, 2025, as International Grant Professionals Day.
