The council also approved a resolution for the development of an art studio, despite deviations from code requirements concerning parking spaces, storm water facilities, and landscaping. The proposed art studio includes nine parking spaces, with two for EV charging, and five bicycle spaces, reducing the required 16 spaces due to the nature of the studio’s parking needs. The meeting took a controversial turn when the topic of the supervisor of elections not placing an economic incentive referendum on the November 2022 ballot was raised. A council member voiced the opinion that the referendum’s absence from the ballot could have influenced its outcome.
