The local police chief has also volunteered to assist with the festivities on December 20, riding on a fire engine and distributing candy.

In preparation for the city Christmas party on December 13, attendees are encouraged to bring a dish. The council is coordinating logistics, including ensuring enough bicycles for giveaways, with discussions around sourcing and purchasing additional bikes if necessary.

In a departure from tradition, the council announced that the annual community yard sale will not take place as a single coordinated event. Instead, residents are invited to host their sales independently as a “non-community” yard sale. The council emphasized that no special notification is required for individual sales.

The council also briefly touched on the upcoming League of Cities event, discussing attendance and meal options. Participation numbers were estimated to ensure accurate meal orders.
