In land development matters, the council approved two applications involving lot consolidations. The first was for South Louisiana Marine Construction to build an office at the corner of 98 Business and Ivy Road, while the second involved splitting a lot for Dan Holmes LLC to construct two homes. Both applications were approved without contention.

The council also discussed a draft ordinance amendment concerning grandfathering provisions in land development regulations. The proposed changes aim to allow property owners who have retained ownership since 1990 to sell their properties without losing non-conforming use rights, under specific conditions. The ordinance will undergo further readings before final consideration.
