Following this, the board discussed the county’s response to the recent snowstorm. The snowstorm presented significant challenges, with reports of up to 20 inches of snow in some areas like West Milford. The commissioners praised the efforts of road supervisors, emergency workers, and various teams who worked to clear roads and ensure safety. The board recognized the collective effort, involving not only county employees but also external partners like Brain Industries, which assisted in salt transportation.

The commissioners also took time to commend the county clerk’s office and board of elections for their work in preparing for upcoming elections, especially in light of additional voting events in certain municipalities. This preparation is critical given the upcoming primary election to replace Mikey Cheryl in the 11th Congressional District, with early voting already underway.
