In addition to public comments, the board addressed the completeness of cases for a property on Heckman Street and Hill Road, which were carried over. A minor site plan with variances on Hagerty Avenue was discussed, with the applicant requesting temporary waivers for some items.
An important new business item was the Town Council’s referral of a matter to the land use board for conducting an amendment to the riverfront redevelopment plan. After deliberation, the board referred the matter to the board planner for investigation. Moreover, the board approved the payment of a bill list from Attorney Wilhelm.
The topic of the role of the Town Council in the proposed redevelopment plan amendment was discussed, along with the necessity for a study to determine its consistency with the master plan.
