In addition to the communications accolades, the School Board shared impressive academic results from AP exams, highlighting exceptional scores in AP US History, Physics, African-American Studies, and Pre-Calculus. The district’s students performed above the New Jersey and global averages in these subjects.

The meeting also addressed updates to the Emergency Virtual Instruction Plan, which covers critical areas such as student quarantining, attendance, technology equity, and staff remote work. Despite the plan being a carryover from the previous year, with no changes, approval was sought to maintain preparedness for any future needs.

In other matters, a discussion took place concerning the District’s annual goals, with a suggestion to include a specific objective focused on implementing safety procedures to ensure the security of schools. Additionally, the meeting touched upon the need for equitable volunteer opportunities within the district’s Athletic Booster Club.
