She attributed this turnout to several factors, including expanded early voting options and increased accessibility measures. Early voting commenced on September 19 and accounted for approximately 17.9% of the total voter turnout. On Election Day, 82.1% of voters participated, with a portion utilizing same-day registration.

The council also discussed the implementation of curbside voting, a service that became more prominent this election cycle. Smith mentioned that 22 calls were made to the curbside hotline on Election Day. The city plans to make this service available city-wide in future elections.

Following the certification of results, the council initiated a post-election review to verify the accuracy of the tabulation equipment. This process involves a hand count of specified races, selected by random draw. The selected races and precincts will undergo scrutiny to confirm the integrity of the election results.

Lastly, the election team received commendations from city officials for their efforts in facilitating a smooth and efficient election process. The council, in particular, recognized the leadership of Director Smith and Deputy Director John Martin, along with the contributions from various city departments and community organizations.
