At the top of the meeting’s agenda was the advancement of local development ordinances. The first reading of an ordinance amending the township code’s buffer and landscape design standards was approved without discussion. A separate ordinance to vacate an easement and right of way on Chippenham Drive also moved forward without debate.

However, a portion of the meeting was dedicated to a presentation by Jeff, a volunteer member of the planning team for the greater Delaware Valley Chapter National MS Society and Bike MS: City to Shore. Jeff expressed gratitude to the council for its continued support of the event, which is entering its 44th year and is the second largest ride in the country, contributing to the National MS Society’s funding for research and advocacy. He highlighted the impact of the ride on the local community and the efforts made to minimize disruption, such as coordinating with the police for safe passage and directly informing residents along the route.

The council responded positively to the presentation, sharing personal connections to the cause and pledging to promote volunteer participation among local committees and students.

In addition to these topics, the council approved several resolutions, including those related to performance and maintenance guarantees for local businesses, the renewal of liquor licenses, and the ratification of a memorandum of agreement with the firefighters’ local regarding work hours and overtime. Personnel moves were also addressed, with the hiring of a new police officer and a part-time fire protection subcode official.
