In addition to leadership elections, the board adopted the New Jersey School Board Members Code of Ethics, committing to uphold and enforce regulations and court orders related to schools. This adoption serves as an annual reaffirmation for board members to abide by ethical standards in their duties.

The board also approved a series of routine reorganization action items, such as the continuation of membership with the New Jersey School Boards Association, the designation of official newspapers, and the establishment of meeting times and places.
