He noted that while some private schools and districts in other states have more flexibility, New Jersey public schools must adhere to these specific regulations. Aderhold also expressed his belief in the value of traditional snow days, viewing them as an important aspect of childhood.

The board meeting also marked the retirement of eight dedicated staff members, including teachers and administrative staff, who collectively contributed over two centuries of service to the district. Among them were Diane Choka, a French teacher with 24 years of service, and Deborah Goodkin, a language arts teacher with 35 years of dedication. Their commitment to education was recognized and appreciated by the board and community.
