The council is preparing for the 2027 street project, adding resources for the Hanland Park improvement project, and maintaining equipment funds. Schlagel noted that the preliminary levy provides flexibility for the council to adjust the final numbers, which will be finalized following the truth and taxation hearings later this year.

In a moment, one council member announced their resignation, citing relocation plans. They expressed gratitude for the community’s support over the past 24 years and reflected on their tenure with the council. The Mayor and fellow council members thanked them for their service and contributions to the community, acknowledging the impact of their commitment to Winsted.
