The council introduced an ordinance to amend and supplement chapter 15 claims approval of the township code, aiming to remove the need for vendor signatures on most purchase orders, with the exception of professional services, personal services, and personal reimbursements. This change is due to an alteration in the New Jersey Administrative Code and is expected to expedite vendor payments, reduce mailing costs, and allow vendors to receive purchase orders by email. The council also introduced ordinances to set 2024 sewer charges and adjust the compensation rate for part-time seasonal Public Works employees.

Furthermore, the council discussed applying for several grants, including a renewal of the spotted lanternfly grant, a recreation improvement grant by the Department of Green Spaces (dgs), and the Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The township is also in its third year of a shared service agreement for Municipal Court staffing with Glen Rock and will discuss the possibility of a two-year extension.

The council also acknowledged the retirement of Scott, a committee member, and expressed intentions to send a thank you note for his service.
