Regular programs, health benefits, administration, transportation, and operations and facilities were also addressed, with health benefits comprising 20% of the budget at a little over $10 million.

The budget workshop discussed the expansion of the district’s preschool program, with the addition of two to three new classes expected by September, resulting in a total of 13 classes. Updates to K-12 mathematics and English Language Arts programs, foundational literacy, and continued emphasis on social-emotional learning are also planned. Special education initiatives include the expansion of the n2y unique curriculum to all self-contained classrooms, the exploration of hiring a flow-in district nurse, and the development of a community-based instruction program with assistance from Rutgers and the Boggs Center.
