Superintendent Gregorio Maceri provided an update during the public work session, detailing the recent steps taken by the school board. “The Board of Education has asked their board attorney to develop a shared service agreement. That shared service agreement with the borough, mayor and council is completed,” explained Maceri. The agreement is now in the hands of the borough, mayor, and council, with further discussions set for September 5th.

Additionally, the public was informed of an upcoming public hearing regarding the Carson-Founds property, scheduled to take place in Founds at 7 p.m.

Closing the meeting on a hopeful note, another board member extended well-wishes for the upcoming academic year. “I’m wishing everybody a very meaningful school year that starts before our next board meeting, so to our teachers, staff, administrators, students, make the best of it, and we’re here for you.”
