April Harrington’s appointment as Chief of Police was a notable item of discussion. During her swearing-in ceremony, she expressed gratitude to the Township Committee for the trust placed in her and thanked her family and police colleagues for their unwavering support. In addition to Harrington’s promotion, the council approved several other important police promotions. Daniel Sheets was promoted to Police Captain, Anthony Lynn to Police Lieutenant, and Matthew Buckhopper and Joshua Kramer were promoted to Police Sergeants.

Beyond the police department, the council addressed several resolutions. These included authorizing various contracts and shared service agreements, such as those for animal control services, tree and stump removal, and improvements in HVAC systems for municipal offices. The council also approved a resolution for the township’s participation in the Defense Logistics Agency’s Law Enforcement Support Office 1033 Program, allowing the police department access to Department of Defense equipment.
