Dr. Anderson highlighted the district’s performance in state assessments, revealing high participation rates and an upward trend in proficiency, although still below state averages in English Language Arts and math. The district’s graduation rates surpassed state averages. Chronic absenteeism also showed a modest decline, albeit remaining higher than the state average.

The effectiveness of the district’s early childhood program was noted, with the opening of six new classrooms contributing to stable or growing enrollment figures, distinguishing Brick from other districts facing declines. Dr. Frell expressed pride in these developments.
