Superintendent Matthew A. Perrapato provided updates on the key infrastructure projects. The kitchen renovation in the new cafeteria is progressing well, with all necessary parts in stock and the project expected to be completed by mid-August. Similarly, the HVAC project at Memorial School is on track, with classrooms cleared and units moved in. Electricians are scheduled to begin installation shortly. Additionally, construction at Liberty School is advancing, with hopes of achieving full enclosure by the end of summer to ensure the building is weather-tight.

The board also received a financial update from the district’s food service program, which reported a profit of $22,694 for the year. In June alone, 6,965 breakfast meals and 5,646 lunch meals were served. The board is preparing to close out the 2025-2026 school year, with auditors beginning their fieldwork in August.

The Summer Learning Academy is halfway through its session, providing support to prevent summer learning loss among students. Professional development for teachers is also ongoing, focusing on reading and writing instruction for kindergarten through grade two. The board acknowledged the efforts of a teacher involved in running the summer program.
